Welcome Back!
1st September 2020
We are opening our studios in September and cannot wait to see you! Please read all the information below carefully as it outlines our plans for a safe and healthy return.
One way system: We will be operating a one-way system through the building and the waiting room will be closed until further notice. All students will enter the studio through the fire exit, change their shoes in the studio and have a personal basket (cleaned between classes) to keep belongings in. They will then exit out the normal door.
Please bring as little as possible into the studio: Please leave coats and bags in the car where possible. The more you bring the less space we have to dance!
Arrival: Please arrive no more than 5 mins before the start of your class. We will be providing some outdoor shelter, please observe social distancing when waiting in this area. We will have hand sanitizer on site but where possible please provide your own.
Drop off: Parents and siblings will not be allowed into the studios. You will need to leave your child at the door with their teacher/assistant who will help get them ready for the class.
Toilets: Please take your child to the toilet at home before arriving at the studio. Our toilets will be open in case of a desperate moment and will be monitored and cleaned after use. Only one person will be allowed in the toilets at any given point.
Cleaning: ALL classes will finish 5 minutes before their intended finish time to allow for a safe departure and cleaning between classes. Please collect promptly at this time, to avoid students having to wait around.
Props: The use of props in class will be limited and anything that is used will be cleaned between uses.
Class Sizes: Class sizes have been limited and we will only be accepting new students in classes with low numbers.
Bare Feet: To limit cross contamination dancing with bare feet is currently prohibited. For modern and contemporary you will need to wear ballet shoes for the time being. If you do not have ballet shoes trampoline socks are the next best thing. Normal socks are very slippery on the floor- if the teacher thinks your socks are not safe you will not be able to take part in the class. Anyone who turns up without appropriate foot wear will not be allowed to dance. If you do not have ballet shoes or appropriate socks please email us; we have some spare ballet shoes you may be able to borrow.
Ventilation: It is important we keep the studios well ventilated, this means we may have the windows open on days when the weather is a little chilly. Please ensure your child has a the correct x-over to wear in class. Jumpers and tops other than the regulated x-overs will not be allowed in any class. We are offering a discount on x-overs up until half term. Get in touch to order.
Feeling unwell? If you, your child or anyone in your household is not feeling well, has a temperature, or showing any sign/symptoms of COVID-19 please do not visit the studio.
Masks: Masks are not required whilst exercising however if you wish for your child/yourself to wear a mask during class you are most welcome to. Teachers and assistants will wear masks between classes, and we ask that parents wear a mask when dropping off/picking up.
Parent questions/interacting with teachers: Interaction with teachers/assisstants will be very limited to avoid contact and allow time for cleaning. If you have a question or want to tell us something please email us at info@kinecroftacademy.com
Students who wait between classes: Some students do more than one class on the same day and are used to waiting at the studio. We are happy to accommodate this but you will need to book a waiting room slot. Places will be limited so if you wish for your child to wait between classes please email Miss Lucy ASAP.
In the event we are unable to offer live classes due to government guidelines, we will operate a full timetable on Zoom. There will be no changes to days, times, teachers etc and refunds will not be offered for those choosing not to take up the online option.
